How does Hephaï work?

The Hephaï application:

  • Allows the patient to record themselves on the app (through their smartphone, tablet or PC) while using their inhaler

  • Completes checks with AI technology (artificial intelligence), based on APIs for recognition of physical behavior patterns (movements and sounds)

  • Gives the patient immediate results, provided via the application, indicating whether or not they are using their inhaler correctly

  • Encourages the patient if they have used their inhaler correctly

  • Establishes a corrective process if the inhaler has not been used correctly, highlighting any errors in technique, and providing an educational video demonstrating proper practice. The application then offers the patient an opportunity to have their inhaler technique re-assessed

The application will be available for free via Apple and Android devices and may be recommended by a pulmonologist, family doctor or pharmacist.

The app is scheduled to be launched for smartphones, desktops and tablets in 2022.
